KPMG has been active in the L&D space for many years. We’ve gone from providing technical tax and accounting training to delivering L&D programmes in support of major business transformations.
As part of one of the world’s largest networks of professional services firms, able to draw upon extensive technical and sector expertise, we are well versed in aligning business ambitions with meaningful and effective learning on the ground. Our clients appreciate the breadth of skills and resources we’re able to bring to bear on their L&D projects and the quality of the learning experiences this allows us to deliver to them. Plus, our impressive track record (in the private sector, as well as the public sector) reassures them that we really have been there and done it all before.
We know that the value in what we do stems from combining L&D experts (who understand how learning can be used to achieve workforce transformation and to realise strategic goals) and sector specialists (who understand the unique nuances and challenges of working within the public sector). Fusing technical and sector expertise in this way is a powerful combination because while we know what a good L&D framework should look like, it’s how this is tailored to your specific requirements which really matters most. But that’s not the only powerful combination we provide. We also add operational delivery expertise to that strategic advice. We ensure that what happens in the classroom (both real and digital) runs as smoothly as possible. And we ensure that what happens in the workplace is the desired outcome of intended skills and embedded knowledge.
Enviable track record
In the public sector, we helped deliver the Government’s World Class Skills programme, having been tasked with making their curriculum more relevant to employers. Further programmes of learning followed with the Ministry of Defence, transforming the learning offer for military personnel, and the NHS Leadership Academy which we have led since 2012. Most recently in 2015, we led a consortium of 30 specialist L&D suppliers to deliver an entirely new Civil Service Learning curriculum, meeting the L&D needs of over 400,000 civil servants across the country. To date, this curriculum has seen over 310,000 learner bookings from 190 Civil Service organisations. This has delivered over one million hours of learning, along with an 87% customer satisfaction rating.Choose a subject
We apply the latest insights into L&D best practice as well as the findings from our own sector-specific research papers to our learning design. We link to relevant academic institutions or professional accreditation bodies when formal learning qualifications are required. Plus, we can call upon the expert support of dozens of the country’s leading L&D suppliers to provide what is required. During this process, the considerations of the customer remain at the heart of everything we do. When designing the programme, we consider every related customer journey – not just learners but line managers, L&D leads and course facilitators too – to put in place the support they all want and need.Read more
